While Orvano is currently below the annual turnover threshold that triggers a mandatory statement under the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 (Section 54), we are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards across our business and supply chain, and we believe all businesses — regardless of size — have a responsibility to take a clear stance against modern slavery and forced labour.

1. Our Business

Orvano is an online fashion and accessories retailer based in Oxford, England, United Kingdom. We sell premium apparel and accessories — including jeans, T-shirts, hoodies, hats, and eyewear — to customers across the UK and internationally via our website at orvano.co.

Our supply chain involves the sourcing of finished goods from third-party manufacturers and suppliers. We do not operate any manufacturing facilities ourselves.

  • Due diligence: We review supplier information and, where possible, seek assurances that workers in the supply chain are employed freely, paid fairly, and work in safe conditions.
  • Ongoing monitoring: As our business grows, we are committed to strengthening our supplier vetting processes and introducing more formal audit procedures.

4. Policies & Practices

Within our own business, we are committed to ensuring that:

  • All staff and contractors are employed on fair, legal terms with appropriate remuneration.
  • No individual is required to work under duress, threat, or coercion.
  • Workers are free to leave their employment at any time with reasonable notice.
  • We comply fully with all applicable UK employment law, including the National Minimum Wage Act and the Working Time Regulations.

We recognise that as a small business sourcing goods internationally, we may have limited direct visibility into all tiers of our supply chain. We consider the following areas to carry the highest risk:
